Cremona
Sleepy little Cremona, Italy, is normally just another quaint Italian town (with beautiful piazzas and an epic cathedral and even Europe's tallest medieval tower). But on one special weekend per year, the town goes nuts for 'torrone'! This is a kind of dessert made from sugar, honey, almonds, and... white goo? Not really sure to be honest, but it's nice and sweet and comes in many flavors, and it certainly draws the hordes. Pictured in this slideshow, therefore, are the banks of sweets and the masses of sweet-teeth and a few of the accompanying spectacles.
